That was how it was in FFT too, you fend off assassins, knights, literal gods, and then a bunch of random encounter red chocobos push your shit in with choco meteor spam. Come to think of it, it was obviously meant to be a throwback to that huh, don't know why I never realized.

2020年10月14日 · In the recent patch an encounter has been added with a boss red chocobo, presumably to honour the original massacre in a tongue and cheek way. However, avoiding death in the fight requires a very specific way to dodge the AoE, one which is almost guaranteed to confuse you the first time you see it and kill a lot of people in the process.

2020年10月22日 · Technically it started because of the ivalice alliance precursor quest where you had to fight a red chocobo, and with multiple ppl proccing the quest at the same time back on current content, it was about 40 or so meteors going off at the same time, killing everyone.

2020年10月21日 · Lost Reflect is the key. Make sure you constantly have that up & you’ll be fine. I went through 40 uses during my first attempt but I cleared it w/just 1 death. My entire party had Lost Reflect & that turned Red Chocobo into Red Nuggets. 😬
