You’ve invested a lot of money in your resin molds. Keep them in good condition by using Alumilite Mold Release and Conditioner. It is strongly recommended for all plastic and silicone molds so your castings will release from the molds every time. This 4-ounce bottle of mold release will let you coat your molds dozens of times.

2019年4月5日 · I’ve built a giant bell jar (4 feet tall, two feet in diameter) and want to brush on resin to then remove the mold of the jar. Ideally I’ll end up with a 1/2” thick clear bell jar. I’ve gotten as far as ensuring that the form I made out of concrete and plaster has been coated with a resin resistant layer and I have mold release wax.

2014年9月23日 · The biggest problem I am having is getting the cast piece out of the mold. The silicone is sticking to the cast resin, when I originally made the mold I had trouble getting the clay model out as well. Also I am worried about there being tearing as I am not sure about how well this particular silicone rubber is going to hold up.

2021年1月5日 · My issue is that in order to prevent the glitter from sinking to the bottom of the mould and making the piece look flat, I need a higher viscosity resin. But such resin has trouble filling the corners and thin areas of certain shaped moulds. I’ve been using MAD art resin 1:1 and the clarity/shine/hardness of the finished pieces is wonderful.
