Im Alter von 21 als jüngster Teilnehmer und als einziger Europäer gewann Sebastian Heindl im Juni 2019 den weltweit höchstdotierten Internationalen Orgelwettbewerb, den 2019 Longwood Gardens International Organ Competition.
Sebastian Heindl, aged 19 and a student of Martin Schmeding at the University of Music and Theatre, Leipzig, has won the Senior section of the Northern Ireland International Organ Competition (NIIOC), which took place on Monday 21 August

Seit März 2023 ist Sebastian Heindl im Amt des Organisten und Kirchenmusikers der Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche tätig und ist in dieser Position allwöchentlich in Berlin zu hören.
