When sending and receiving files, make sure both your PC and the other device stay on and don’t go to sleep. Other things you can try: Press Windows key + R Type: services.msc

Jul 21, 2014 · I am facing a problem in file-transfer via bluetooth. I can send files from my PC to my mobile via bluetooth but cannot recieve any file from my cellphone to my PC via bluetooth. At first I thought this to be an issue with my cellphone but then noticed that my cell phone can send files to other cell-phones via it's bluetooth connection.

Also, make sure both devices have all options enabled in the Options tab under Settings > Devices > Bluetooth > More Bluetooth options. And then check the Share tab, and make sure Allow remote devices to browse, send, and receive pictures, music, and other files is enabled. If the issue persists, please reply back to this thread.

Steps I took to try and send file: select Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. In Bluetooth & other devices settings, select Send or receive files via Bluetooth.
