2017年5月28日 · When some of the crew of the Nostromo discovered the space jockey and the alien eggs, they didn't seem too surprised. It kind of seemed normal to them that yes, a corporation like Weyland-Yutani would want them to bring back whatever they found by responding to the signal.

Note that all in-universe aliens seem roughly humanoid with a notably humanoid head; the Xenomorphs, the Space Jockey and the Predators (if in universe) all have humanoid faces. The Space Jockey had a mouth under the trunk (it appears) though I'm not sure if the facehugger would be able to reach it as it was obscured by the trunk. –

Now that Prometheus is out on DVD, it seems obvious that the larger "human" skull is a "Space Jockey" or "Engineer" skull. It's about the right % larger than the human skull, and is close enough in shape to fit the "DNA-match between human and engineer."

The storytelling aspects of the holographs of space jockey's / engineers running in panic seems well justified as far as the script is concerned. I just cannot figure out why the ship would project those holographs in the first place. It seems like the only purpose could have been to serve as a warning, but then why would the ship want to warn ...

the "Space Jockey" in a similar ship with his chest cage exploded from the inside, obviously killed by an alien "hatching" (or whatever you call it). Isn't the crashed alien ship the same ship that the crew of the Nostromo found? If so, then where is the Space Jockey?
