2014年6月26日 · Foil badges are more rare versions of the plain summer cards. If you are looking to buy them they are a bit pricey because of the rarity. You can get them like any other card but there is a slim chance of it being a "foil card". The second badge would be the foil one if crafted.

For the Steam Awards badge it really doesn't make sense apart from looks, but for other games where you can only craft 5 regular badges the foil provides a 6th chance of getting the valuable emote/bg you're looking for.

2022年5月7日 · The regular and foil badges also have level limits so you can only craft each games badge so many times. I think regular is 5 times and foil is only 1 time per game? Unsure about the exact so those limits might be wrong but there are still limits to regular game badges.
