Anyone Know The Real Story Why Steve Augeri Left Journey?
2009年1月31日 · Tall Stories, Steve Augeri's original band just released a new CD called Skyscraper. Augeri's voice on the new CD is outstanding. It was released a few weeks ago and the CD it's self is awesome. Highly reccomended. I just can't understand what happened with him departing from Journey. I was under the impression his voice had failed?

Jeff Scott Soto, who has previously performed with Journey guitarist Neal Schon, will assume the band's lead singer duties starting with the July 7th show in Bristow, VA.

2022年8月4日 · Journey had been in limbo with Steve Perry, so no tours for a lot of years. Then the Trial by Fire album was released and again no tour. So when they relaunched with Steve Augeri, they had to put in a lot of work to build back an audience. Even a tour with Steve Perry would have been on a smaller scale then Journeys tours in the 80's.

He was pissed that Steve was still getting his apartment paid for by the band or label but that he wouldn't go on the road or get back in the studio. Clearly Neal seemed frustrated and was quite animated during the conversation as it was punctuated by many profanities.

Journey might have had good songs after Perry left, but my guess is existing Journey fans missed Steve Perry's vocals and that kind of music wasn't exactly ideal for drawing in a new crop of younger fans in the ...

2022年9月2日 · Augeri’s timing was a bit off. At the beginning of his tenure, Journey fans were still busy at work and at home raising the family. A few years into Arnel’s run (as 20 year olds in 1980 began hitting 50-55) is when many fans would be seeing their kids graduate from college and having more free time and disposable income.

2006年7月6日 · I don't think JSS is the 100% perfect fit as his voice is more ballsy and gritty than Steve Perry/Augeri. But, I LOVED the Soul Sirkus record he did with Neil Schon. In another time and place, that record would have been huge. Hopefully something will transpire musically and they'll do a studio album together.
Is Journey touring without Steve Perry?
