While I can't help with navigating ExoCad, I can clear up that the reason that STR shows up under DESS is that as mentioned above, DESS makes parts for a lot of different companies including Straumann.

2023年4月14日 · Dr kept telling me they used a TruAbutment Straumann BL RC scan body and that they don't use any other brand of scan bodies. Based off their scan, I kept telling them there's no way that it is. I kept digging and they finally told me that the assistant DID use a different scan body. They don't know the brand. The laser etching reads as SB018 BL/RC.

Lab receives model and removes some material around the receptacle and installs analog. Screw on modified scan body and add soft tissue material.

Straumann is going around telling doctors that lab milled abutments are second hand garbage pretty much and then they sell them their scan body kit, so Straumann gets their implant business through the lab. It's crap and causing me headaches.

2020年4月29日 · just as an additional note, I'm using parts from the straumann SRA library and using the Elos 4.6 multi unit scan body from trucrowns library. The elos scan body seems to be the problem. If anyone is aware of a library that has the elos scan body for the the Straumann SRA 4.6 implant and is not locked, that would also likely fix my issue.

2022年1月20日 · Straumann standard was one of them. The closest library i could find was a trucrown library that was listed as an elos straumann standard WN, but when you actually go into the design the scan body was IO 4B-A, which is the RN, not the WN..... what do I do now

2024年1月31日 · Medit scanner, RC scan body. All the details have been quadruple checked, the correct scan body is in the system and the Dr is using the correct scan body. The entire scanned in scan body scan is a tenth of a mm larger than it should be. Its like this throughout the entire length of the scan body. Rescanning doesn't help.

2016年1月17日 · Those separate keys are the scan bodies and 3Shape libraries. Keys for one house will not work for another. It's that simple. Note: If the library supports scan flag swapping, which most don't, then you will be able to use your scan flags you've already purchased.

2017年1月18日 · I'm not quite sure what algorithm is used to match the scan data to the reference, I would think is surface matching from 3d features, it seems that every software developer got their own..either prompting the user to provide matching surface points or a pivotal point to speed up the process, because it's compute-intensive.
