2019年6月4日 · BTW - The Sporter M70 only comes with a walnut stock. The featherweight has what they call the "Dark Maple" option. The highly figured maple stocks come on the Super-Grade, which is the most expensive option. I prefer a beefier fore end. So I lean toward the Sporter. I own a New Haven Vintage Stainless Classic. It's a wonderful rifle.

2017年6月11日 · The wood on the super grade is a very dense, tight grained Walnut. That adds a few ounces. The bottom metal is steel on super and aluminum on the Sporter if I remember correctly. I purchased an old m70 featherweight in 300 win. mag. and after a good recoil pad upgrade , it cost under $450.00 used. It is like new and an excellent shooter.

2021年1月19日 · Have it narrowed down to a Browning X Bolt Medallion in the Man Bun, or a Winchester Featherweight in .308 Win. Both are short action standard calibers with a 22" barrel. The Browning is fancier with a high gloss stock and high polished bluing. Really like the looks of the Featherweight with the Schnabel fore end.

2015年11月3日 · Absolutely not. You need a .340 creed wildcat super magnum with a wood folding stock and a 65mm bell scope. Barrel can’t be fluted and you need about a 1 lb trigger. Total weight should be around 6 lbs. Anything less and you’re risking it. That one there won’t do. You might as well sell it to me so you’re not tempted to use it.
