This helps us confirm if indeed the issue is already a hardware battery problem because if after the reset the issue persists, then there's no other troubleshooting steps that can fix it.

2017年11月26日 · There is no compatibility issues as long as you're sticking with Surface Book 1, I can't speak for the Surface Book 2. I did it, works fine. I wanted to upgrade to the performance model (Nvidia GPU) but they won't let you unless you purchase an entirely new book which is dumb. So I just purchased the base off ebay, plugged it in, no issues.

Just as a note, the "Surface Detach" icon changes when the NVIDIA GPU is being used - so if you ever see that icon with a circle in the middle of the monitor icon or the system tells you that action is required before you can detach the screen, you know the dedicated GPU is being used.
