Zero smoke coming from my Traeger
2020年4月18日 · The lower the temp, the more smoke you'll get. I have the same Traeger and I don't think it puts out a lot of smoke, which is really disappointing. I had a couple of roasts on today at 165 and it just doesn't seem like there's a lot of smoke at that set point. I really don't want to have to buy a smoking tube to try and get more smoke.

2020年8月1日 · Assembled the grill and ran the break-in procedure without incident. Tonight I decided to make pork chops using one of the recipes on the Traeger website. This involved slow "smoking" the chops at 275 until they were mostly done and then raising the temperature to 500 (450 on the ranger) and grilling for a few minutes per side.

2020年6月13日 · The Traeger grill smoke most during times when the pellets are not burning efficiently. That occurs primarily during startup of a cold cold grill and during the shutdown process. Although Traeger says you should shut the lid during startup, I always leave mine open until I know the firepot has ignited and smoke starts to billow from the grill.

I do my cooking in warmer weather and fill my freezer for winter hibernation. Last january, we had one warm spell when the temperature were high enough to do a few cooks to replenish the freezer.

2021年7月10日 · I am charged with smoking a rear quarter of deer venison. Lean meat, so I am planning a 24-hour brine. Smoking at 225 to an interior temp of 150. Not sure of the brine mix. Open to suggestions. I would like to keep the salt content at a lower level. Prep is trimming most of the fat and removing as much silver skin as possible.
