2020年9月5日 · As far as turning radius, we set up cones in the parking lot and did a full u-turn with each chassis. The Freightliner u-turn was about 4 feet tighter than the Spartan. In both 2019 and 2020 the Freightliner chassis had a tighter front axle and tag axle wheel cut than the Spartan.

2021年8月4日 · End result is, both the Ford and Chevy are basically the same in turning radius, but the RAM can turn 2' less radius/4' less diameter at the cost of a shorter wheel base and box. I have not checked, but would imagine the dually is the same (same front end), but you have a wider rear hiney.

2012年6月4日 · Different model coach chassis turn at different rates, so there is not one answer. As the others say, it just takes practice. Just as it did when you learned to drive a car. A 30+ foot Class A RV may have a turning radius in the 30-40 foot range, so you can't do it on a two lane road with no shoulders (road lanes are typically 10-14 feet each).

2024年6月9日 · I turn mine well past 90 degrees many times each summer, to the point of making a u-turn on a 2 lane country road. I never checked the exact angle, but I get it close to 100 degrees. Turn radius sucks but you'll make it up by cutting trailer sharper as I mentioned.

2019年3月22日 · Not sure of numbers/reality, but having driven a 2020 1500 crew 5’7” and a 2500 Mega 6’4, back to back, the 2500 has a considerably larger turning radius, and hard to believe it would be 41’ curb to curb. Also noticed less responsive brakes, much more numb and skoppy steering, and of course, harsher ride.

2020年9月8日 · Zzotte is right that their turn radius is amazing for such big beasts! I have a 30' class C motorhome that my kids share, and my DS4369 EASILY out turns it. I really wanted a Freightliner chassis when I bought mine last year because of great local service, it had a more firm ride, and I really liked the new column mounted switchgear.

2020年1月27日 · Why class A's with the same suspension system can have a sharper turning radius is a function of the chassis's design for a pusher motor home I would think. My 2004 Wanderlodge Class A had an independent rack and pinon suspension where the front wheels would almost turn 90 degrees giving a great turning radius.

2013年12月6日 · The minimum turning radius is a federal DOT guideline that buses and semi's need to follow, such as DOT min radius. Our current 40' RV has a outer turning radius of 40' and the inner radius is 28' without the toad. The link shows an outer radius of 45'.

2020年5月1日 · There is a decal on the door that says the "turning radius is 75 feet". According the chart by Roadmaster - my Coach must be closer to a 36 degree Turn Angle (which shows as a 74.6 ft turning circle) - but it is not mentioned what wheelbase was used for the chart.
