I can't imagine the expectations for UTEP that season were any higher; I think people were just hungry to attend a football game after the offseason. I wonder if COVID is still dampening attendance. UTEP was always in the Bottom 10 rankings and battled Columbia for the #1 worst team in the country often during this time. Unfortunately, these were my transformative years from kid to adult and this scarring is my basis for UTEP football expectations.

2017年9月11日 · I respect UTEPDefense and acknowledge anybody who supports their program. If I didn't care about UTEP football I wouldn't waste my time on this board. I have always thought El Paso was the best kept secret in Texas. In fact, I sometimes think I have higher expectations for the program than some UTEP boosters.

2024年10月11日 · That was the pinnacle of UTEP football IMO. After winning that game we promptly came back down to Earth losing to Bret Favre and Southern Miss (badly) and losing Bob Stull to Missouri after that. To top it off we pass on Mike Shanahan and hire David (wrap-around draw) Lee, sigh.

2017年12月31日 · We, as UTEP fans, know that this is a 3-4 year turn around project and so Dimel owning up to his "responsibilities" as a current KSU staffer is more than understandable, imo. Hopefully by Dimel staying around for the bowl game, he may have more access to the guys that are on KSU's radar, but that ultimately won't end up there.
