During this time, it’s important to follow your surgeon’s advice and attend all follow-up appointments to ensure that the nerve is healing properly.
Try to bend and straighten your elbow, wrist, and fingers completely 5 or 6 times every day, right after surgery. Because you will not be using your arm for your everyday activities, you will need to move your shoulder to prevent stiffness. To do this, raise your arm overhead many times a day.

Recovering from ulnar nerve decompression is gradual and usually takes six or more months. But if you've had tingling that comes and goes, this may get better immediately. Take two paracetamol (Panadol) tablets every four to six hours. If you need stronger pain relief, take one to two codeine phosphate 30 mg tablets as well.
