2018年12月12日 · T Sql is "squelch code" your radio is listening for. If your radio doesn't send out the correct "squelch code", the receiving radio will not play the audio through the speaker. Simplex, radio to radio, the transmitting radio would send out a tone while the PTT button is pressed and this would tell the T Sql receiving radio to open the speaker.

2024年8月18日 · We use repeater channel 17. The makes the repeater output frequency the same as the simple channel 17 which is 462.600 MHz. We have tones set on the repeater for both TX and RX so it is in T-SQL mode. Some guys only run their radios in Tone mode with just their TX tones set while others have T-SQL set for both TX and RX.

2024年9月29日 · Or make sure the Tone mode is Tone, not T-SQL. That way you’ll hear everything you receive on the frequency. Second, if you’re trying to transmit with one of the two radios and listen with the other right next to it, there's a possibility that the one you’re listening on is being desensitized by being so close to the transmitter.

I run the midlandso n the trail. I have a $15,000 APX 8500 HP that I use for work and it doesn't have a SQL setting that needs touched either.
Adding a beep or courtesy tone for crossband repeater?

By the way, there's some features within Chirp and the stock software for the TYT TH-9800 that I couldn't find in the operators manual to understand what it is / does. Such as; Auto Transfer. Auto Contact Always Remind. Left Squelch ...

2023年11月29日 · Good question. No, you do not need to use a receive tone. If you don’t you will hear everything transmitted on that frequency. That’s what WRXB215 was talking about when he recommended setting it to Tone instead of T-SQL.

TD-H3 How do I program a DPL input/output tone.. Is this correct?
2024年4月24日 · Semi newbie needing help.. Open repeater in my area.. I'm trying to program my TD-H3 with a DPL243 input and output tone. I don't want to key up and test it unless I have it set up properly. Also, it doesn't note if it's plus or minus, should I assume it's Plus? To add, yes I'm in range of the repeater and yes I was told it is still active.
