2022年7月4日 · Since Windows 11 is now using Video Editor for their software rather than the old Movie Maker Software that was available back in the day to make slide shows, the new app has taken away the transitions function that used to be on Movie Maker slideshow software but is no longer available on the current Video Editor software preinstalled with Win 11.

The last version launched in 2012 with the release of Windows 8. Since then, the software has been in maintenance mode. Even though the software firm promised to remove the software by January 10, 2017, its still available for download.

2018年2月24日 · The version after that is Windows Movie Maker 6.0 which had both a 64-bit version and GPU rendering of effects and transitions. As for the "Windows Live" version, the last version of that was Movie Maker 2012 (they dropped the "Live" branding). That's the one you found in the archive.

You can check the Windows Store for movie or video editors and make sure to check the reviews to know which app best suits your needs. 2018年1月16日 · Unfortunately, Microsoft dropped support for that suite of programs last year (read Movie Maker went away on January 10, 2017) In the Fall Creators Update to Windows 10, Microsoft added features to the Photos App allowing you to add photos and video to make a movie. That feature is found under the Create menu.

2018年9月29日 · Windows Live Movie Maker was created around 2009 to be the successor to Windows Movie Maker "Classic" which was included up through Windows Vista. It was part of a separate installation called "Windows Live Essentials". The bundle of programs was updated in 2010 and 2011.
