2012年10月30日 · The Hypertext Transfer Protocol in Wireshark picked up my website as: Server: Apache. Well that's what is probably configured for Apache. It does not necessarily report it's full version information. Sometimes the version information is done intentionally to keep away script kiddies with their automatic scan/attack tools.

You were pretty close though :-) Tip: if you want to filter on something that you can see in a packet, right click on that field and select the popup menu option "Apply as Filter -> Selected". It helps a lot.

A different version of WinPcap "solves" the DLL issue by letting them run older versions of Wireshark and still be able to capture traffic on Windows 7. The ideal would be to have the DLL built for the latest version of Wireshark, so you can get later versions if they include useful features or bug fixes.

Maybe this can be made easier, since Wireshark 1.10, the windows version has the option to check for updates ("Help" -> "Check for updates"). Maybe it's a good idea to add a command line option to Wireshark to do the check (or even do the upgrade automatic)?

2016年2月4日 · I just downloaded version 2.0.1. I have a pcap that works in Wireshark version 1.12.9 but gives me bogus IPv4 in version 2.0.1. I can read other pcaps in 2.0.1 which have both ipv4 and 6, but this one is giving me trouble. I have attached a couple of screenshots.

2011年6月10日 · Watch for things like how the stack retransmits lost packets (Retransmission, Fast Retransmission, Selective Acknowledgement), how sessions are setup (with Window Scaling, Timestamps, MSS value etc.) and so on. For that you need to have a documentation which feature was introduced in which version, and you might be able to tell.
