York Minster is a busy, interesting and diverse place to work, with our team of 200 members of staff and over 400 volunteers welcoming 150,000 worshippers and 550,000 visitors each year. To reflect this, job roles cover a range of sectors including learning, historic collections, visitor experience, stonemasonry, HR, finance and marketing.

It is good – very good – this evening, to welcome members of York Medical Society to join us at this service, worshipping here at the Minster, as is their custom, on the Sunday following the feast day of St Luke, labeled in the New Testament as being the ‘beloved physician’.
