Jeremiah Brent is an interior designer, television personality, author, and founder of lifestyle brand Atrio and Jeremiah Brent Design (JBD), an interior design firm with offices in Los Angeles and New York City.

"The goal was to find the balance between the pedigree of traditional design and the playfulness of modern design," says Brent, founder of the eponymous design firm.

True to Brent and Calderone’s shared taste for warm modernist interiors, most of the rooms balance traditional details with modern forms, highlighting vintage pieces and earthy materials like wood and stone, everything enveloped in neutral tones.

Brent specifically expanded his design vocabulary in the dining area thanks to the Apparatus pendant that the smitten husband and wife had purchased. Considering the home more widely, he cites his use of ochres and dusky jewel tones as a big step forward.

Fans of their TLC show, Nate & Jeremiah by Design (and readers of AD’s January 2018 story), witnessed the couple gushing over the house’s sun-drenched rooms, wrought-iron balustrade, and 200-year-old oak tree in the backyard. The house, they proclaimed, was where they and their then-two-year-old daughter, Poppy, would “put down roots.”
