2024年1月2日 · I have been breaking in a new Bergara rifle for a friend with a 22 inch barrel that is doing good . Started with H1000 and 175 nosler ABLR and didn't like accuracy or speed , so after 50 rounds switched to RL 26 and it went from 2930 to 3030 with same powder charge and shooting 1/2 to 3/4 inch with low ES and not much load development yet .

2017年2月12日 · I am searching for a recipe for a 18" pencil bbl in 1:12 twist Kimber Adirondack. Mainly hunting deer sizes animals. I'm old school…leaning on the heavier side for knock down purposes. I favor Nosler Partions(165 or 180). My concern is the short bbl! It's the shortest one I own. I obviously I want a weight that stays stabile up to 500yds.

2018年7月23日 · Keep the 270 win barrel, cut a few inches off. Buy some Reloder 26 and watch that gun wake up. 3100-3150 fps with 140's, 3100 fps with 145 gr ELD-X's out of a 22" bbl.

2010年1月21日 · I have a .308 BLR with 18.5" bbl. I get ~2600 with 165gr AB's Haven't shot anything past 300yd with it yet but my ballistic table suggests my loads should have adequate velocity for expansion to 500yd. The .308 is a very efficient cartridge. From what I understand, it only needs an 18" barrel for a complete burn with mid-hvy bullets.

2014年2月23日 · Also, yesterday was the first time the gun had been shot, so the bbl was broken in by shooting once, cleaned with Butch's bore cleaner, and allowed to rest for approx 15 minutes between each shot. Using 100 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips, I started out with 54.4 grains of RL 22, then went to 55.5 grains, and finished up with 56.5 grains.
