2024年10月3日 · I purchased a Tesla Universal Wall Connector to charge both my Model Y and my R1S. The J1772 connector/adapter is easily removed from the UWC. However, I can not remove the NACS connector from the UWC. From my understanding, with the cable saddled in the UWC, you press the button on the dock adapter to get the J1772 port.

While TMC members are generally knowledgeable about such things, I've seen a great deal of misunderstanding about the various Tesla mobile connectors among the general (e.g., Reddit and Craig's List) population.

Wall Connector must have a ground path back to the main equipment earthing point on site. Without a proper ground connection, the Wall Connector will fault during a ground assurance test. Equipment- grounding conductor must be run with the circuit conductors and connected to the equipment- grounding terminal in the wirebox.

Tesla support and service reps pretty much don’t even know this 40 amp CMC exists and all assumed I was talking about the UMC.

2024年9月28日 · I don't now Tesla's thermal limit for that terminal block, but unmarked NEC standard is 60C for an unmarked connector. Tesla could also be looking at temperature rise over ambient. Possibilities I can think of: Terminal block connections not torqued tight enough so high resistance. Turn circuit off before tightening.
