2023年1月24日 · Hi, so i recently updated my windows 10 pc to windows 11. And i am still having an issue related to the desktop: at seemingly random moments when i update the desktop by either selecting with the mouse or hovering over an icon, the background turns black. Then when i restart explorer everything seems normal again.

2015年7月31日 · I can change to different themes fine, but the wallpaper does not change, I can assigned wallpapers manual via "set as wallpaper" but my desktop wallpaper does not change at all.... it remains black, I can swap to solid colors from the background menu, but when I change to picture for a wallpaper it is black and no wallpaper is display, just black.

I choose a theme... after a few minutes or if i'm installing or working on something it reverts back to a black background without my consent. It's quite annoying because I have to right-click and go to personalization and change it again. Thank You. =)

2023年10月27日 · Sometimes it will just start showing black squares behind the icons on the desktop first and then just go "POOF" and switch to black. This is not the screen shutting off or the laptop going to sleep/hibernate, the laptop stays on and functional as normal it is only the wallpaper image that vanishes.

Also, when I look up for pictures on my computer, the folders are empty while there really are pictures. The same thing happens whether I select "Picture" or "Slideshow" as my background setting.

2015年8月15日 · On startup, after the welcome screen, Windows 10 drops right into a black screen and a cursor. Nothing else. No wallpaper, desktop, icons, Systray, start button, menu, nothing. I'm able to get the task manager up and run programs, I'm typing this from this affected PC now. Upgraded from Win7 Home 32 bit.
