Why Whatsapp desktop close immediately when I opent it?

Every time I double click the whatsapp desktop shortcut, the cursor loads for a second, then nothing happens. Whatsapp does not launch. Right clicking and selecting run as administrator does not work either. I also do not see 'Advanced Options' below Whatsapp when I go to settings>apps and select whatsapp there.

Dec 16, 2023 · After working with FreeChat the application hasn't been updated in a while and it's buggy. The best solution is to open Whatsapp web in Google Chrome. Then go to the 3 dot menu -> Save and Share -> Install Whatsapp Web. This saves the Whatsapp web as an individual application that will have its own dock icon and work exactly as the old Whatsapp.
