Most people who want to print a gun with a 3d printer will way more likely be hobbiest printing a part to their 70% metal firearm, unlike a criminal who doesn't bother stealing or buying a more reliable firearm for cheaper. 3d printed firearms made with 100% plastic isn't practical in any case, even in hardened targets.

It’s more apparent though that the 3D community is more pro-gun, or at least pro-“print-whatever-you-want” than against.
