2021年12月23日 · Where was the RX 6800s cooler + its lower voltage and power limits don't see it as strangled by thermal and cooling limitations. Both are strangled by the reference cooler designs, but the 6800 XT more so. My custom AIB 6800 XT easily maintains 2400+ game clocks across the board, be it Forza H5, Battlefield, Doom Eternal or Halo Infinite.

Yes, GPU's have been gaining in TBP/TGP each generation, so cooling has gotten larger as well. Some may not have noticed this but AMD actually used this as a marketing opportunity on Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX in that they were smaller than the 4080 and 4090 (they used millimeter measurements on thickness and length), reference coolers that is.
