2023年4月10日 · Depends on how old the laptop is. But resource consumption probably won't be drastically different from distro to distro. I really like MX Linux, personally. Based on Debian Stable, but comes with a bunch of nice tools out of the box. And if you don't want a lot of pre-installed stuff, Fedora has an Xfce spin which is fairly "bare-bones".

Nice part of the EndeavourOS installer is that, even though it doesn't recommend this, you can mix and match packages from different DE configs, so it's simple to minimise the default Xfce install, and subsitute i3wm and rofi from the i3 config.

I've used xfce on Xubuntu, Fedora, Mint, MX, PopOS!, and Manjaro. I've tried various othe DEs in some or all of these including the native PopOS shell, vanilla Gnome, KDE, Mate, Cinnamon, and so far xfce is the best experience (although recent excursions into more Gnome-like behaviors such as CSD are troublingly regressive).
