2008年2月5日 · Fun part was catching Crappies, Whitefish, Pike, Perch, Eelpout, and the very young Walleyes all using the same jig & minnow on the bottom. Too bad the Whitefish disappeared because that was a hoot! Every line in the house would go down at the same time when a school moved through and they would tangle each other up.

We set up the wheelhouse on a 36ft hump in walker bay and had 60ft of water on both sides of the hump, we were well away from bourbon street. I thought this would be a great location for eelpout but not a single one. All we could catch were walleyes (which isnt a bad thing).

2013年12月6日 · 30 years ago there were a lot of eelpout in URl. Then there was a very warm summer and the eelpout died out from the heat. The past 2-3 years I have seen more eelpout then I have seen in about 20 years. They still are not a numerous or big as they were from what I remember back in the 70's and 80's but it is really nice to see them again.
