2024年6月17日 · Started on glimepiride around 3-4 months ago as I was getting bad diarrhoea from slow release metformin. They have now upped the glimepiride from 1mg to 2mg. I seem to be getting headaches every day and I don't know whether this is a side effect of glimepiride or not. I think my control is ok and i don't think I'm going low.

2011年1月5日 · glimepiride is the best of the sulfonylurea's though. it's considered a 3rd generation sulf and is supposed to only stimulate the beta cells in the presence of sugar (or when the body needs it). It had less weight gain and fewer hypo's compared to glyburide (the most commonly prescribed sulf).
