2012年12月10日 · If I were looking for a replacement trailer, I'd consider an older high end model. Something maybe 5+ years old. A few brands are Carriage, Alfa, Teton Homes, Newmar, Glendale, Peterson Excel and NuWa. If it was maintained properly, a used high end trailer might outlast a new entry level model. Every trailer has had issues.

2022年8月3日 · The way this is done is to initially jack the trailer by the tongue jack as high as possible. Then put blocks under the frame to where those blocks come as close as possible to the frame. Now, lower the tongue jack and let the trailer rest on the frame. Crank the tongue jack all the way up and now put a new set of blocks under the tongue jack.

2019年3月3日 · I'm looking for a light weight trailer to tow with my Tacoma and rarely hear about the Lance 1475 or 1575. Why? After looking at Lance model, I am impressed. They are priced higher than most light weight travel trailers; however, they are light (2700), roomy (slideout) and well constructed. Please help me (1st time buyer). Used are hard to come by.

2012年4月26日 · We tow a small toy hauler with two 3500 lb. axles and use a weight distribution (WD) hitch. Trying to level our toy hauler for the best tire wear since we tow it about 7000 miles every summer. The first year we used it, it wasn't level (didn't use a WD hitch) and encountered very significant tire wear on the toy hauler's rear axle.

2006年6月11日 · And keep welding torches away from your trailer frame. I would only trust a trailer fabricator to properly weld a trailer frame. Try the removal of the spring bars, take it very slowly, and post a lookout to watch your rear frame and tank plumbing. If that works then you are in business for no cos or hazards to your trailer frame.

2015年4月30日 · Make sure the entire tread is still on the board. Do the same thing with the other wheel on the same side. Keep shimming until it's level. Then check it for level front to back and adjust it accordingly. Once it's level, block up all 4 corners of the frame to support the trailer. This will stabilize it to stop bouncing up and down when walking.

2024年10月20日 · I know it is an entry level travel trailer, but the layout works great for me and my dog. It has a DC refrigerator which I like. Also, it is light 3013 dry, but has a 1387 CCC. Pretty good for a single axle travel trailer. Pulling it behind my F250, I barely felt it. And, the first check on the truck gas mileage showed a tenth less mpg.

2014年5月5日 · You have a travel trailer, not a 5er, right? If your hitch is set up properly then you should be able to level the trailer without unhitching in most cases. It may be necessary to disconnect or loosen the WD bars if you are pointed uphill. You may find that the safety chains rattle in the wind and keep you awake at night.

2012年8月26日 · First off I always go by level checks inside using a good carpenter level. Floor, countertop, stove. The outside levels are good to get you close in the initial set up. Once you have the trailer level based on inside checks use the carpenter level outside to guide placement of your outside bubbles. Pick a good spot where they can mount flat.

2013年10月15日 · I put a 2" lift on my 5th/W, not to gain clearance but to level the trailer. I used solid steel blocks and longer U-bolts. For block, U-bolts and longer centering pins it cost about $96.00. The trailer rides and handles as well as it did before the lift and I noticed no loss in MPG pulling it. With more lift some of that might change IDK.
