2015年1月25日 · So, I decided to stick with the 683’s and try the next amp up, the Marantz PM8005, which seemed like a sure bet. Now here’s the thing, while the PM8005 promised to deliver more power (70 watts), the sound (compared to the PM6005 on the same B&W 683 speakers) seems deficient in bass, generally brighter and slightly more hazy.

2014年9月3日 · I also upgraded from a Denon AVR amp to a PM8003 (the 1st edition in this line) and was wowed by the difference. At a VERY conservative 70 wpc, it will, IMO, hand with AVR's with many more wpc's. This Marantz line sounds very musical, natural to these ears. Also a very quick amp, I was amazed at how much more detail I was hearing.

2017年12月15日 · Yes, I never listened to any of them, but the reviews I saw stated that they sound superior and quite different to the 700 series, and more in the same league with Marantz PM8005...but I really don't know about the newest generations Yamaha amps - may be the 701/801 is an improvement.

Marantz PM84 and KEF LS50 META - a good pairing?
2022年11月21日 · Counter-opinion on the LS50/PM8005 combo. I have been running them together for a few years now and play everything from Jazz to poorly recorded thrash metal on them. Once you get the LS50s positioned correctly in the room for bass reinforcement and adjust toe-in for tonal balance, I find them quite forgiving. The warm PM8005 is a great synergy.
