The Lakes and Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Mapping Tool is an interactive web map. This tool allows users to search and map AIS and lake monitoring locations, watercraft inspection sites and grants projects across the state. Users can also view the geographical distribution of invasive plants, fish and invertebrates. Notes on usage:

The OpenStreetMap data is periodically updated by DNR staff as they become aware of specific issues with the data. State trails data come from the DNR, North Country Trail Association and Ice Age Trail Alliance. Data regarding boat access sites is maintained in a 1:24,000-scale layer by the DNR Bureau of Facilities and Lands.

DNR’s geospatial data are provided in the Wisconsin Transverse Mercator (WTM) coordinate system of 1983 based on the 1991 adjustment to the North American Datum of 1983 (WTM83, NAD83 (1991). Conversion of GIS data from WTM83, NAD83 (1991) to other coordinate reference systems can be carried out using commercially-available GIS software.
