Zinnias are amazingly easy and are gorgeous! They are the best cut flowers. (I’ll share some pics from my little cutting garden (from last year) all day in my story today.) I’m no floral designer but with these flowers, it doesn’t matter. Cut them. Put them in a vase. And you’re going to be happy for days. 🌸🌸🌸 Zinnias love full sun. ☀️ They grow in zones 3-10. Plant after your last frost date. They need light to germinate so don’t bury them, sister! Just press them down into the soil. 🌼🌼🌼

The first blooms early in the season are often small and unimpressive (and maybe a bit wonky looking). Give the plant time to mature! It will pump out bigger and better flowers later. These video clips are all from August and September. 2- The flowers continue to form rings of petals after the bloom first opens (for double flowers).

Here's some things I've noticed growing them... *Planting seeds directly into the ground will give you a higher percentage of doubles. Just be sure that you keep the ground moist while the seed germinates.
