Before concrete even goes through a crusher it has to be broken into manageable chunks by a hydraulic breaker on an excavator. Those large pieces then go for secondary processing into smaller pieces, again using hydraulic breakers. Following that, hydraulic concrete pulverisers are used to bring the concrete down to final size for crushing as well as removing any reinforcing steel within the material.
