Amazonite is a beautiful blue-green gemstone that belongs to the feldspar mineral group and classified as a potassium variety called microcline. It owes its striking coloring to lead and water. Known for its silky sheen, formed with striped blue and white coloring or just solid blue-green. Amazonite has been used since 3000 BCE as indicated from finds of artifacts from the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Mesopotamia and North India. Amazonite used in ancient Egypt and was from an ancient mine at
