Zinc oxide diaper rash cream will not reliably protect your skin from the sun. While zinc oxide in sunscreen protects from UV rays, numerous technical differences in formulation of sunscreen versus diaper rash cream explain why a zinc oxide diaper rash cream won’t reliably protect your skin. Zinc oxide in diaper rash creams does not disperse evenly on the skin surface, leaving gaps or “holes” with no sun protection.
