Fire in the hole! Rocks in Zion fall, frequently and randomly, but that’s part of what makes Zion, Zion! In some instances, rocks are too large to move with hand tools or in places that are inaccessible to be moved with heavy machinery. So, trail crews use blasting devices to make big rocks smaller and easier to move.
