TRANSITIONS in roller skating are changes in direction while maintaining speed of travel. In this clip, my class is learning to transition from skating forward to skating backward. • PREREQUISITES - skating forward and being comfortable rolling backward. You don’t have to be perfect at backward to do it. • More tips: 🔸 Foot positions: forward, spread eagle (toes turned outward in a sit), sitting overlap (similar to 4th position in ballet), and backward. 🔸 Master moving into these positions sta
