Many people think they're dangerous, but it did help me get nice thin slices of pear. I used Bartlett pears which were firm but ripe. That's the key. Then toss a quick salad with arugula or frisée and add pomegranate, nuts and your favorite cheese. I think blue cheese would be amazing, but Hubs refuses to eat it. 🙄
