The Brazilian wandering spider, scientifically known as Phoneutria, is a highly venomous arachnid native to the rainforests of South and Central America. It is notorious for its aggressive behavior and potent neurotoxic venom, which can cause severe pain, priapism (persistent and painful erections), and in rare cases, even death. Wandering spiders are named for their tendency to roam the forest floor at night in search of prey, making them a significant concern for humans who may encounter them
