Fun Fact: during the Uganda-Tanzania war, Idi Amin offered to fight the president of Tanzania, Julius Nyerere, as a way of settling the conflict. Nyere did not respond. His armed forces were the likely victors in the war and Amin had been Uganda’s light heavyweight boxing champion through most of the 1950s.
