The Packard brothers got their start with manufacturing incandescent carbon arc lamps (which is kinda like combining a light bulb and a lamp in the most simple of explanations 🤣). I love a car company that started out of spite/dissatisfaction and that's exactly what the Packard brothers did. They were unhappy with the performance of their Winton Motor Vehicle and wrote to the owner who replies "go build your own car." And so they did...
