The illusion's color is closer to the water than it appears on first glance. While I was painting, the lighting changed suddenly, making it necessary to either move the painting or go home. Not knowing what to expect but hoping for the best, I took a deep breath and moved the canvas. The change of lighting fortunately worked in our favor, making it possible to paint a more scenic view than before. Sometimes, it's difficult to trust the process and be flexible, but doing so nearly always pays off
