One of the reasons for the high price of truffles is the difficulty of harvesting them. Truffles are whimsical in choosing the environment in which they grow - their favorite trees are oaks, pines and hazel 🌲 Some species take up to 6 years to develop! To find truffles, you need a very sensitive sense of smell, most often pigs and dogs are trained for this purpose.
