Thor Industries, Forest River Inc., Winnebago Industries and Rev Group manufacture most of the RVs in the US. Between the four of them they have bought up many of the independent manufacturers. Thor Industries got started when they purchased Airstream in 1980. They became a public company in 1984. They now own many RV brands (and many other related companies).
