Lettuce seed crop harvest is in full swing at the farm! We feed the lettuce plants into the spike-toothed cylinder of our thresher. The cleanest seed separates readily and dispenses out the side of the thresher. The remaining debris and seed travels out the back, where the smaller particles and seed will fall through the screen into a bucket (the bucket contents get tossed back into the thresher to extract the rest of the seed).
