Peter's Escape - The Salvation Poem

Peter was imprisoned in Jerusalem and later in Rome. The chains that bound him in Jerusalem were saved and venerated early on. Those chains eventually made it to Rome and into the hands of Pope Leo I. Pope Leo had in his possession the chains that bound Peter before he was crucified upside down (notice all the upside down crosses?).
